Day 1: Fes – Middle Atlas – Midalet – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
In this 3 days tour starts from Fes to the Merzouga Desert, you travel through the beautiful landscapes of the Middle Atlas while crossing a large cedar forest in Azrou. This last is known by these macaques who circulate by the side of the road to look for food, they are friendly with travelers. From there we continue to Midelt for lunch. And then we will cross the Ziz valley to arrive at Errachidia. Then towards Erfoud. This town of the Palmerie of Tafilalt is known by these Marbles and fossils. We continue later to Merzouga where we will spend this first night of Fes to Desert tour in a local hotel.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert
The second day of this trip from Fes to the Desert will begin after breakfast, by visiting the dunes in 4 × 4, then we will visit the nomads in the tents. Afterwards we will visit the village called “Khamlia”, village of the Gnawa (slaves black former slaves of the Sultan of Marrakech in 1590) enjoying their dances and music. Lunch break in the village of Merzouga. In the afternoon, return to the hotel to start crossing the dunes by camels to spend the night at the nomadic camp. Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Erfoud – Fes
Back to the hotel early in the morning and enjoying the vision of sunrise in the dunes as to take back the camels, at the hotel you will have breakfast… after that by taking to Fes, via Rissani, the headquarters of the Alawite family of the current king of Morocco. Not far from Rissani, in Erfoud you can stop to see the work of thousands of fossils transformed into all kinds of artifacts and then continue in Fez by traversing the Middle Atlas again, lunch in Midlet arrival to Fes.
