8-Day Tour from Casablanca

Su expedición marroquí de 8 días comienza en la cosmopolita ciudad de Casablanca . Nuestra primera parada es una visita a la magnífica Mezquita de Hassan II , una maravilla arquitectónica encaramada sobre el Océano Atlántico. Luego partiremos hacia Rabat , la elegante capital del Reino. Aquí, exploraremos la histórica Torre Hassan , el minarete inacabado de una gran mezquita, y la serena Kasbah de Udaya , con sus icónicas paredes azules y blancas y vistas al mar. También visitaremos la antigua Necrópolis de Chellah , un sitio donde se fusionan las ruinas romanas y la arquitectura islámica medieval

Nuestro viaje continúa hacia Mequinez , una de las cuatro ciudades imperiales de Marruecos, construida por el sultán Moulay Ismail. Pasearemos por su vibrante medina y nos detendremos ante la monumental Bab Mansour , considerada la puerta más hermosa del norte de África. Concluiremos este primer día de descubrimiento cultural con una noche en un encantador hotel en el corazón de Mequinez .

Después del desayuno, salimos de Mequinez hacia la ciudad sagrada de Moulay Idriss Zerhoun , la cuna espiritual de la primera dinastía de Marruecos. Encaramada dramáticamente en la cima de dos colinas, ofrece una ventana al profundo patrimonio religioso del país. A un corto trayecto en coche, llegamos a Volubilis, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO . Aquí, disfrutará de una visita guiada a las ruinas romanas más extensas del norte de África, maravillándose con los mosaicos del suelo bellamente conservados, la Basílica y el Arco del Triunfo

Por la tarde, nuestro viaje gira hacia el norte, hacia las montañas del Rif . El paisaje se transforma en una exuberante vegetación a medida que nos acercamos a la mundialmente famosa “Perla Azul”, Chefchaouen . Fundada por exiliados moriscos de Andalucía, esta ciudad es un paisaje de ensueño con casas de color azul celeste y calles adoquinadas. Tendrá tiempo para pasear por su encantadora medina, descubriendo sus singulares tiendas de artesanía y sus vibrantes plazas antes de instalarse en su hermoso riad para pasar la noche.

Enjoy a final morning stroll through the tranquil, azure-washed alleyways of Chefchaouen, capturing the soft morning light on the blue walls. We then depart for Fes, traveling along a magnificent scenic route that winds through the heart of the Rif Mountains, offering spectacular panoramic views of the rugged landscape and traditional Berber villages.

Upon arrival in Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s Imperial cities, you will meet our expert local guide for an immersive journey into the medieval Medina. This comprehensive tour covers the city’s most significant historical monuments, including the famous tanneries, the Al-Quaraouiyine University, and the ornate Madrasas. You will also explore the Mellah, the historic Jewish Quarter, known for its unique architecture and gold markets. The day concludes in the serene atmosphere of a stunning traditional Riad, where you will spend the night.

Today, we embark on a breathtaking journey toward the golden dunes of the Sahara. Our route climbs into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping first in Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture. We then continue to the ancient cedar forests of Azrou, where you can spot wild Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

After a scenic lunch in Zaida, the landscape shifts dramatically as we descend into the Ziz Valley, a vast oasis of palm groves and ancient Kasbahs carved into deep canyons. Upon reaching Erfoud, the gateway to the desert, we take a brief pause to prepare for the highlight of the trip. At the edge of the dunes in Merzouga, you will join a camel caravan led by an expert guide. As you trek deep into the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will witness a spectacular sunset over the shifting sands. The evening is a true Saharan celebration: enjoy a traditional feast under a canopy of stars, accompanied by the rhythmic music and dances of local nomads around the campfire. You will spend the night in an authentic desert camp for an unforgettable night under the stars.

After experiencing the magic of a Saharan sunrise, we begin our journey through ancient Berber villages and historic fortresses. Our first stop is Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, where we will visit the sacred Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. We then continue through the palm groves of Jorf to reach the spectacular Todra Gorges. You will have time to walk beneath the towering 300-meter limestone cliffs and explore the historic old quarter of Tinghir.

The afternoon takes us along the legendary “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We will pause for panoramic photos in Boumalne Dades before crossing the Valley of Roses toward the Skoura Oasis. Here, we visit the iconic Kasbah Amridil, a 17th-century masterpiece of earthen architecture. As we approach Ouarzazate, we will stop for photos at the historic Kasbah Taourirt and the world-renowned film studios. We conclude the day in the ancient village of Ait Ben Haddou, where you will stay in a charming local hotel overlooking the historic site.

After breakfast, we begin our exploration of the most iconic fortress in Morocco: the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this breathtaking complex of earthen buildings is a masterpiece of southern Moroccan architecture and has served as a backdrop for legendary films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. You will wander through its ancient gates and climb to the top for a panoramic view of the surrounding salt desert.

Our journey continues through the hidden Ounila Valley, a former caravan route famous for its dramatic red canyons and lush terraced gardens. We will stop to visit the Kasbah of Telouet, the former palatial residence of the powerful Pacha Glaoui. Though partly in ruins, its interior reveals some of the most exquisite mosaic and stucco work in the country. Finally, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m), descending into the vibrant energy of Marrakech. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad in the heart of the Medina.

En nuestro último día, saldremos de Marrakech para una refrescante escapada a las cascadas de Ouzoud , las más altas y espectaculares del norte de África. Rodeados de exuberante vegetación y acantilados de arenisca roja, tendrá la oportunidad de caminar por los senderos sombreados, avistar a los macacos de Berbería residentes e incluso tomar un pequeño bote a través de las piscinas naturales

Disfrutará de un almuerzo tradicional en un restaurante local con una impresionante vista de primera fila de la cascada.
