Day 1: Tangier – Chefchauen – Fes
We start our Best 5 Days desert Trip from Tangier to Marrakech. Then we go to Fes via Moulay Idriss, holy city and visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Lunch break in Volubilis and Meknes nicknamed “Le Versailles du Maroc”. Visit of the Meknes monuments. Arriving in Fes. We stay overnight in a local hotel or riad with a delicious Moroccan dinner.
Day 2: Fes – Midelt – Merzouga Desert
We leave for Midelt via the Atlas Mountains and the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas. we visit the ski resort of Ifrane, then Azrou as an essential craft centre. We will stay in Midelt for lunch, a city known for its mineral products and apples. In the afternoon, we will move towards the Merzouga desert, visiting the cities of Erfoud and Rissani. We then continue to Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. In the night we stay in a hotel / riad including dinner.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert
Don’t miss the sunrise on the sand peak near your tents, and breakfast, later on, you go for a hike through the beautiful winding sand dunes, it will take you enough time to get out of the bed of the dry river east of the sand ERG, we will take a lunch break, in the late afternoon you will be warmly welcomed in a nomad tent around the dunes, have tea and learn more about their daily life. Day 4: Merzouga – Dades Valley
