Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades grges
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8 am in Marrakech. Start your 3 days trip from Marrakech to Fes via the Merzouga desert. Then we start to climb the High Atlas Mountain after we have crossed the villages of Toama and Ait berkka. We will pass through a forest reserve called Touflih. After that we stop near a water source next to the road to cool off. We then follow the turns of the Tichka mountains up to the top of 2260m. You admire several Berber villages which nestle in the High Atlas mountains. After a break in Tizi n Tichka. We continue to the village of Telouat to visit a historic kasbah built by a former Pasha of Marrakech. After that we cross the valley of ounila to arrive at the historic village of Ait ben haddou. We will visit the kasbah of a ben haddou. It’s a great historical monument of the region of Ouarzazate. Explorations with a local guide of this site which is protected by Unesco. We then stop in front of the movies studios and the kasbah of Tourirt in Ouarzazate. Then our trip from Marrakech to Fes continues through the palm grove of Skoura and the city of roses. We will have another stop to enjoy the magnificent views of the Roses Valley. From there we will follow the valley of Dades a beautiful road followed by fields of roses, almond trees, fig trees, olive trees until Boumalne Dades. From here we continue to the Dades gorges where we will spend this first night of this 3 days trip from Marrakech to Fes through the desert in homestay. Typical Berber dinner included.
Day 2: Dades gorges – Todra Gorge – Merzouga dunes
After a delicious Berber breakfast our trip from Marrakech to Fes by the desert continues through Boumalne Dades. Where we stop to take some magnificent memory photos. Then we will travel between the two high and anti Atlas chains through the beautiful landscapes of Sahgro until the city of Tinghir. We will visit its old Jewish village. Then we continue to the Todra Gorges. After visiting these gorges. We will drive through the village of Tinjdad, and the town of Erfoud to arrive in a desert tray. From here we enter to the desert of Merzouga. On our arrival we will have a small break in a local hotel. After that we will meet our camel driver to start a camel ride in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This trek gives you many good surprises. You will admire the charm of the dunes as well as the sunset in the highest dunes of Morocco. Spending the night at the camp in Erg Chebbi is a great experience, it’s the heart of this trip from Marrakech to Fes. Dinner and sleep in nomad tents under the starry sky of the Sahara.
Day 3: Trip from Merzouga to Fes
This morning in the Sahara we will wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise. Then we will have our breakfast and ride a camel to explore the dunes of Erg chebbi towards the village of Merzouga for a good shower. After that the trip from Marrakech will continue to Fes. We will spend this third day discovering beautiful villages and the valley of Ziz. Lunch will be in Zaida berber village. Then we will cross the large cedar forest of middle Atlas. We then stop to see the macaques in the wild.
